What parents and students are saying
"The Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra was a great learning experience for me. The student to teacher ratio is perfect, and I feel that the musical skills of each student have really improved due to the focus and attention the instructors pay attention to each student. The atmosphere is very cozy and pleasant. During my time in the ensemble, my confidence in playing skills has grown tremendously, and I feel that I can say the same for others as well".–Eva (member)
"Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra was a great experience for me. It provided a great environment to explore my musical interests. The environment fosters a community in which music education, development, and advocacy is at the forefront. During my time at Penn Youth, not only have I developed my technical skill, but my love for music has grown as well."-Sabrina (member) . |
"We have been attending the Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra for several years! My daughter has gained so much experience and improved her playing skills dramatically under the diligently guidance of the Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra’s teachers. It certainly helps students to prepare for higher level orchestra and, more importantly, they enjoy being part of it. Thank you for everything. "-Zhu (parent)
"I wanted to drop you a note to say thank you so much for last night’s concert. I was absolutely blown away by the performance! The Petit, Youth Strings and Elite ensembles were all terrific. The children are so very fortunate to have such a talented, enthusiastic and dedicated team leading their way! Thank you so very much for bringing the joy of music to these children (and their parents!). This has honestly been the highlight of my time in America so far and will be one of the very strong marks on the “pros for staying in America" card that I mentally checklist each day as we face the decision of whether or not to return to Switzerland next summer. Could I possibly just take you all with me, please?!" -Annahita (parent) |
