Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra

Penn Youth Orchestra Ensembles are open to students who will be entering 3rd-12th grade.
Now accepting video auditions for the 2023 SPRING      Rolling Auditions ( 2 OPENINGS FOR VIOLIN AND CELLO AND NO LIMIT ON VIOLAS)
All applications must submit an online audition registration form, upload the audition video to YouTube and share the link.
Video Audition Requirements

• Two Scales ( by Memory)
• ​Two contrasting movement/section of a solo work, concerto or sonata ( about 2-3 min each piece )

AUDITION VIDEO RECORDING

• Your full video should not exceed 10 minutes.
• The entirety of your audition should be recorded in one single, unedited video without an accompanist. You may not use a previously recorded performance.
• Be sure to record your audition in the order listed above: Scales and Solo. You may not edit, cut, splice, or otherwise alter your performance. Picture must remain stationary: no panning, zooming, multiple cameras, fading in/out.
• Please state your name ,scales and pieces you will be presenting. ​
• Each ensemble has limited spots open so we encourage you to submit your video and registration form as soon as possible.

Spring Session: January 29-April 23
( Snow day: March 19, Spring break: April 2 & 9, 2023)
